kendal bowman

Conversion and refurbishment of a redundant public house, the Kendal Bowman, to seven one bedroomed self-contained flats for adults with learning disabilities, and a ground floor office suite for occupation by the clients. The former pub was an integral part of the streetscene of Highgate, one of the oldest streets within the Kendal town centre Conservation Area, and the external alterations respected the character and original design features of the historic building. The design incorporated a fully wheelchair accessible flat on the ground floor.
